I had the privledge of working in District 9, as the Operations Manager at Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center from 2006 to 2010 and returning as the Center Manager from 2014 to 2019. District 9 encompasses a large area and has many concerns that need to be addressed now, and in the future. I Have had a chance to work with Byron Powdrell for over a year now as his sport director at 99.9 the beat, and know him to be a man that is committed to his district and more importantly, to the City of Albuquerque. Byron has lived in Albuquerque his entire life and he and his family have definitely made a difference in the community and in the city. As someone who worked for the City of Albuquerque for 30 years and having the chance to work with several different city councilors throughout my career, district 9 needs a representative who will pay attention to constituents concerns of which there are many, while keeping an eye on future trends that may be beneficial. The City of Albuquerque is changing and we need candidates that are committed to the betterment of their district and the City as a whole. I wholeheartedly endorse Byron Powdrell for and his candidacy for the vacant District 9 seat. — ED Nunez, Retired from City of Albuquerque after 30 years of service

I am endorsing Byron Powdrell for City Council. His efforts put forth and energy toward making a difference is exactly what we need for our community. Change is needed more than ever; our crime has reached all time highs and our schools continue to struggle. The homeless population has reached a point to where many have grown accustomed to seeing individuals in need in every quadrant of the city. Focus must be put toward helping our community not only recover, but flourish. I believe Byron Powdrell will create a ripple that will make waves. — Robert Sotela
